Types of Service

Personal Growth and Counseling Service
Facing rapid social development, young people as well as a very small number of those who go astray and take up crime or drug addiction may struggle to define their own identity, reveal a lack of trust in one’s own judgment and display their own anxieties about societies. We encourage them to establish a more positive and hopeful outlook on life and learn to place value on themselves. By providing a host of personal growth and development programs focusing on psychological, physical, personal and social functions, we hope to help young people cope with life’s ups and downs more successfully. In the course of our intervention, it is hoped that by helping vulnerable or disadvantaged young people to become resilient adults, they can bounce back in tough times confidently for a better future.
Transitions from School to Employment
In today\'s ever changing global economy, young people who face career issue may lack directions. Not only they have a very flimsy idea on further education and training, they also do not have a clear vision on life goal. To spark youth interest in continued and further education, we encourage all young people to continue with their education, whether in school or at work. Young people face unique challenges that require unique solutions and to provide them guidance and support through a variety of services like mock examination, hotline service, resources corner, job matching, soft skills, vocational training, youth workshop, self-help group as well as employment guidance.
Socialization and Community Education
Socialization program, a vital part of youth service, builds positive social relationships where basic interaction skills, problem solving strategies, self-esteem, positive peer relationships and self-confidence can develop appropriately. Programs can allow young people to use various skills in a variety of activities such as group discussion, cooperative games, role-playing, art projects and recreational activities. After all, socialization and community education is one of our core services which is to encourage young people to develop a value system based on internal values and to maintain a positive sense of self and identity so that they become responsible, respectful and resourceful members of our communities
Outreaching Service
Among young people ages 10 to 24 years who are from disadvantaged backgrounds, they are at greatest risk than others in experiencing many difficulties in life like schooling problem, employment issue, family relationship or peer pressure. They do not have the same opportunities as other more fortunate groups in society. They have a variety of needs which need to be addressed. By providing them timely and appropriate intervention through a variety of programs to suit their interests, our social workers work tirelessly to assist them to develop new attitudes, behaviors and choices. They can develop their full potential and problem solving skills as well as improve interpersonal relationship. Our services include counseling, group work, referral, free Internet access and crisis intervention.
