The ethnic minorities are also encouraged to make use of mainstream services where necessary. Our services to the ethnic minorities include advice and referral services, interpretation service, Cantonese language class, computer training, escort, support group and casework services. Through our participation in the Community Social Integration Working Group under the umbrella of the District Coordinating Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service, Social Welfare Department, the ethnic minorities are given many opportunities to take part in community activities such as recreation and sport which contribute to increase their social network and enhance their sense of belongings and identity with the Community.
