Introduction

The Mountain View Integrated Youth Service Centre is one of the service units of the Social Services Department of the Hong Kong and Macao District of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Since October 1983, we have been serving children and young people aged between 6 and 24 in Shan King Estate, Tuen Mun, to ensure their healthy physical and mental development.

In response to the changing needs of young people, the Centre was transformed into an Integrated Youth Service Centre with additional funding from the Social Welfare Department on 1 April 2003. Under the integrated service approach, a whole-person, multi-tiered and cross-sectoral approach is adopted to better suit the all-round development of children and young people in the district, enhance their ability to cope with the difficulties they face in growing up, and best prepare them for adulthood.

In 2010, the Centre received a donation from the Lotteries Foundation to carry out a modernisation project. The opening ceremony of the modernisation project was held on 16 January 2011 to provide better services for residents in the district.
